I mean what are the laws on promoting porn?
I mean i never see adverts (even late night) for porn sites. I do see some phone services and durex have started to sell sex toys, but never seen porn sites on tv.

If the porn is legal, advertising it is legal. But radio and TV are governed by Ofcom which has it's own, tighter guidelines so porn can't be advertised, except on porn channels.

Yeah, you can only show nipples. :)
We couldn't advertise playboy.co.uk on playboy tv, so I am not sure you are right there Jerry.
Basically, we were not allowed to say there was any porn on the site, and people should go there for 'programme information'. (which it did have - listings and such like).
Certainly could not say 'get porn at playboy.co.uk - its got the stuff we aren't allowed to show on UK telly.
Which would have been brilliant.
But that's Ofcom. Regarding magazines etc, it's down to the publisher's discretion. So all the lad's mags would carry adverts for playboy, but probably wouldn't carry ads for www.shavenmidgetsrimmingtwinks.com

do magazines have any limits, or could they print anything (thats legal in the uk)?

The limit the publisher sets.
I had one ad pulled from a Galaxy publication (I think). It was Michelle Thorne, pulling her flaps apart in a Thorne stylee. They said no pink.
So I told the designer who started work on selecting a less gynecological shot. I went away to some dull meeting.
I came back and he had 'hilariously' used an image of her covered in man milk sucking a hard fat cock. He had printed it out and left it on my desk with 'for approval' on it.
I looked up and he and the other designers were almost on the floor pissing themselves at their comedy skillz.
Oh how I miss working in an office.

its down to what the mag publisher will accept and that is really down to what they feel they can get away with under the OP regs.
A BDSM mag might carry or instance adverts for sites, domina services, toys and so forth.
But that's Ofcom. Regarding magazines etc, it's down to the publisher's discretion. So all the lad's mags would carry adverts for playboy, but probably wouldn't carry ads for www.shavenmidgetsrimmingtwinks.com
