Thats what Sir Terry Wogan gor last year for presenting children in need.
They shuld call it presenters in need as lets face it, its the only reason presenters do the show is to get work from it.
I love all these firms too trying to get in on the act by having red nose day junk on there products as I do not buy them. I will never buy any product that goes along with this drivel.
Some jerk came up to me in the street and asked me for cash. He was dressed in some stupid outfit to be witty. I told him to get stuffed as no way am i going to be made guilty to hand over cash.
At the end of the day, if we used just some of the cash Labour have wasted, it would have cured most of the worlds problems.

you would have thought that all the "celebs" presenting this would have done it for free!!

I'm not surprised, these well paid wankers go on TV an try to make penioners part with a few bob to send to some charity that takes most of the money in admin and the rest usually ends up god knows where. One of the few celebs that doesn't pocket the money is Bernard Manning, he also pays his own expenses.
As for firms, I'm always amused by the line "at least 10p of the cost of your call will go to lesbians in need". Where does the rest of the money go?

Seems Wogan may have been reading this board.

thing is, its not a problem as all the bbc has to do is increase the licence fee to cover the costs. so thats nice.
Doesn't seem like a lot to me
I know hookers who charge more than that!

It should be pointed out that Wogan himself says he would happily do the show for nothing.

Then one must ask why he doesn't :)

If you spend 7 good hours shooting... the content produced "could" make a shed load more than that

Yes, why not go on and say "I donated my fee for this to the children" like Alan Sugar does on his ads?
