As I know all and most of you are a bit thick, I will tell you my thoughts.
Road pricing is a pure tax. Its nothing to do with being green or redusing trafic.
For anyone who belives Labour are green. Labour taxes bio deasel, while most eu countries (such as germany) do not. In fact here are a tax on many green things that other eu countries do not tax. So if you do belive Labour is green, then your wrong and foolish.
Will road pricing reduce traffic?
The answer is no, and how could it? Unless a bus pulls up outside my house and takes me to a studio in the countryside, I have no option to drive. Also no way am I taking 6 cases of camera gear on the bus.
But in truth most people drive as they need to.
Of course long distances such as leeds to london i would do by train but not at the current ticket charges. I mean its cheaper to rent a bmw and drive to london with 4 people than to get 4 tickets.
Of course a road pricing will simply mean the poor will suffer most.
But of course what will happen is more people will NOT bother to tax, insure, mot and register there car, so to avoide the road pricing. In fact I will be considering getting a second car myself and not bother to tax, mot ect it, and so cost me nothing to drive. After all its only a £30 fine if I get court.
But being so great, I have the answer to congestion.
The bulk is rush hour. The bulk of this is those big fat parents taking thewre kids to school in 4x4's.
The simple and cheap ansr is to but double yellow lines all around the school so people cannot park.
Thje result would be parents would find it easer to walk. Thus both kids and parents get regular exersise. Thus less health problems in later life, which means saving the nhs millions of pounds.
This would save congestion. And if you think I am wrong, see what the trafic is like at rush hour when the kids are on holiday, as its much much less.
Also better trafic managment would help. far too often trafic lights are red for noncence times. Better controll would mean smooth traffic flow.
I do not need you bunch of morons to now post agreeing with me, as i am always correct. And if you disagree with me, then clearly your a fool and your opinion clearly is not relivent.
So speaketh your leader.
