I phoned my aunt today (tuesday).

I phoned her expecting an invite for pancakes.

She wafeled on about having the flu.

I cansider this a breach of her aunty's duties. I expected pancakes and receaved none.

Surly a prison sentance is in order.

This is not the first time she has failed in her aunty's role. She once gave me a boiled egg with-out solders for dipping in the egg duties.

I bought sixteen ready-made pancakes last week, ate six at the weekend then completely forgot that yesterday was pancake day.

We had some complete with maple syrup. Forget sugar and lemon juice, the Canadians know what they're doing.

What's the fucking deal with tasty treats on religious festivals? I am pretty sure that Jesus was not born from an egg, was not made from chocolate, and never ate a pancake in his life.

Yesterday I wore a crown of thorns and drank vinegar from a sponge. Today it's pancakes though :D

I don't think Pancake Day has much to do with religion, and I think Christmas was moved from its original date to coincide with a Pagan festival which is why we stuff ourselves with food. I'm with you on the chocolate Easter eggs though.

It does, it's the day before Lent.

Ah well. Isn't it about using up all the fat before the fast, or something? Hence pancakes?

Pancake day is bigger than Christmas in my house. I ate 30 pancakes yesterday, it was awesome. Can't wait for next year!

Lol.. christmas is not even an event to johova witnesses.. reason being is that its celebrating the death of catholics or something.. the holly comes from the romans head dress.
Christ wasnt born on christmas day.. the goverment was.. more tax spendings.
All events are great to celebrate though.. I enjoy the spanish pancakes, they simarly celebrate to the canadians, with maple syrup, chocolate or other really tasty ingrediants!
Bon appetite..
