Guess traffic will be down quite a bit whey the nation watches men in pantyhose and crash helmets play rugby.
Seems like one big pantyhose fetish to me

American football is a really hot sport... I love it and fair play to Shane to bring it up... but will it affect sales... I think most of the traffic is through out the night... hopefully it will make everyone more horny and wanna wank off!

was watching a superbowl thing briefly on sky earlier, they said 800 million will watch SB41... which is apparently 1/7th of the population of earth.

really? Thought it was only the septics who watched it
I know somebody who had a webcam and advertised a free half time show. She brought in huge traffic and made a ton of money out of that promotion. Beats the hell out of a wardrobe malfunction.

They premiere the most expensive commercials in the world. Some are amazing. I believe the Coca Cola polar bears was one.
Also post super bowl business is usually very brisk.

Sounds like the yanks exaggerating a bit to me, I doubt even half the population of America watch it

Last years game:
"Pittsburgh Steelers’ victory over the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl was watched in an average of 45.85 million homes, the second-highest total in television history behind the final episode of "M*A*S*H*" in 1983."
"The game was watched by an estimated 141.4 million people in the United States, ABC said, the second-highest total to view a program behind the 144.4 million who tuned to New England’s victory over Carolina in the 2004 Super Bowl. That number estimates the total amount of people to watch the game at any point."

Thats about 1/2 the population of America
Blimey. It does say 'at any point', so is a bit inflated it would seem. Still, not to be sneezed at by any means.
