Because you are self employed that you can just take time off at the drop off a hat?

If anyone wants anything doing or taking anywhere its always me they phone.

Just had one know not even a close relative asking the wife if I can take them to Manchester airport as their lift has let them down, when the wife told them I was busy her exact reply was "oh right it's not like he has to go to work I thought he would be able to take us, otherwise it's going to cost us £30 in a taxi"

People just don't reliase it's harder working for yourself than a normal job.

Yep, Know that feeling.

My Fiance's sister and her partner think we're loaded and that we can afford "Everything" just like that. Fact is... I work from 5am to about 7/8pm mon-fri and don't take that much time off. And my wages are actually lower than theirs. Yes, sometimes I can take the odd afternoon off, but over all I get less holiday and certainly less holidays in nice places than most people who go out to work.

I like working from home and like being my own boss, but it's not a license to print money by any means.

tell the fuckers to have one pint a day less during their 2 week holiday, that'll pay for the taxi.

just wait till you got a car with generous boot space, you'll surprised how many friends you suddely have with fridges and shit to transport.

Yep I get that attitude all the time, especially from my Mother who says I don't do anything all day and I should have dinner ready every night for my husband when he gets home from the office. She also thinks I'm a kept woman and should help my husband out by getting a nice part time job in a bank or something :ninja:
