Holidays & Porn Subscriptions

Hi,

I know we have touched on seasonal changes in signups and whether it can be attributed to shaving from sponsors or actual dips in sales due to holidays etc.

So here is my question.

If you were due to go on a holiday (away from home) at any point in the next four weeks (a months subscription), would you sign up to a site?

The average vacation is still 2 weeks, so in effect you would only get 50% value for money from your subscription.

What would you do? Still signup or wait until you returned from vacation?

Or just surf for the freebies?

Or perhaps purchase some pay per view content which is not subscription based?

We need to dismiss any trial signup sites in the equation for obvious reasons.

I'd assume most surfers join a site because they want to have a wank there & then ... would be surprised if many of em work out if they'll have access to a computer for the duration of their initial subscription ...

Agreed. Not a calculated purchase for most. Also depends on price structure, I sell more 3 month sign ups than anything else on some sites anyway.
