Broadband has gone slow as dial up again.

Phone bt and you go through the usuall 5 departments. got to repeat everything, your name, phone no, problem.

Nothing will be done, i know i am wasting my time.

I just cannot help thinking that there are ex ussr countreies with far better service.

Keep hearing bad things about BT but never experienced it myself. I recently switched from their residential broadband to Business Broadband and it couldn't have been smoother. Getting a nice speed too but then I live only around 200 yards from our exchange.

I would never have anything to do with their broadband service again. Clueless incompetent wankers. God forbid you ever move house, that's when the fun really starts.That was the straw that broke the camel's back for me, and I have no hesitation in telling people to use anyone but those bunch of cunts :)

They all oversell the bandwidth they have. "Up to x megabits per second" really doesn't mean anything. When the network gets overused your throughput will fall.

BT is the wholesaler for most ADSL connections, so swapping "suppliers" isn't likley to get you anything except a different layout on your bill, and a different price.

Living in an ex-USSR company, I can confirm that the Internet works better over here.

I pay about 12 quid a month for a 5MB/s cable connection and have had around 45 minutes of downtime with it in the past 7 months.

My Dad back in the UK has the same problems as you with BT. He was offline for a week at one point.

Are you using their stupid broadband homehub? If you are get rid of it and get something decent (belkin or netgear) The reason your BB keeps going slow is because the your BRAS profile sounds like its getting stuck. Since i replaced the BT router with a better one i have had 0 problems.

They were asking me to unsrew the direct socket or somthing!!!!!
