I've been using Thumbs + 4.2 since Queen Victoria died but it's now outlived itself and I only use it for batch re-naming.. Does anyone use a later version that they're happy with..

At the moment I also use EyeBatch http://www.atalasoft.com/EyeBatch/ for batching work but I'm looking for another programme to use for making galleries etc. Please don't give me ACDC or Irfanview etc. Is there a little known product that anyone uses that will:

Batch the following:

a) Rotate
b) Re-size
c) Watermark
d) Re-name
e) Creates galleries without having the thumbs in a separate folder.

And not Photo Shop either .. I'm too old to try it and most important of all.. I need a programme with a browser to select the images from

I use Arles image creator to produce thumbs and resize the main images etc.. it also can produce full galleries but i haven't used that feature so not to sure how good it works. Its great for making thumbs and produces some of the sharpest thumbs i have ever seen ! it allows you to apply filters like unsharp-mask etc.. also has a browser feature

That is one I forgot on my tried list.. It creates separate folders for the thumbs :(

You can configure it to create the thumbs in any folder ... subfolder, same folder, parent folder ... havent used it for a while, but its a nifty bit of software...

Just double checked ... can specify any location .... on my version you'd do it by accessing the menu Edit>Advanced File Location Options .... :)

I've been using FastStone more and more recently and Thumbs+ less and less

I don't think it builds galleries - but it does everything else (and it's free)
