Hi All,
Anyone else use NTL's Broadband service?
Well on their website they're advertising a 1mb service for only £9.99... Apparently for "Brand New Customers Only"...
If you've been a customer for a while, give them a ring... ask for that package... You'll get the "Brand New Customers Only" statement muttered back at you half a dozen times, but eventually they'll give in.
Also, the "Free Speed Upgrades" that are supposed to be transparent... actually have to be Asked For... I asked the guy on the phone what speed we were on and he said 750k for £24.99 a month.
So I responded with "The Speed Upgrade... It's supposed to be transparent and just happen. That's what it says on your website..."
"Ahh... no... he said... well it does say that, but you've still actually got to ask for it."
After a little groaning and moaning... the response from NTL was...
"You're now on the £9.99 a month service for 12 months. Anything else I can do for you?"
So if you're using their service and find the 1mb service ample... give them a call pretty sharpish and save yourself a few quid a month. :guinness:
