Petrol Vs Diesel

Well do I feel the chump - nipped out thought I would fuel up and slung 30L of the finest unleaded into my tank - fair price, quick service......

Thing is I have a diesel engine :mad:

odd 167 out of pocket and I have 1/4 tank less then when I went to fill it up :-(

I was told some petrol in a diesel will not do any harm, in fact I was told big trucks put some in when its cold to stop the diesel freezing.

Haha I did that once, but only got about a gallon of unleaded in the tank before I noticed my schoolboy error. Filled it to the brim with diesel and it was fine.

they towed it - then used the pump in the engin to poor it out. They said on modern cars they just cut out then you have to clean the engine :-(

funny thing was he said they do 30 cars a week for the same thing

LOL could have been worse, you could have put diesel in your petrol car, then you would be fucked
