Well where did the movie come from, strictly broadband never shot it, so unless they bought it from that bird or her bloke I doubt they own the copyright. Of course that would mean them having to sign over all rights to it, maybe they did, if not then they own the copyright as they both shot it.

Plus it was even posted on a well known uk message board and the link was there for ages.

I hardly think this thread will have any impact.

I mean the phun thread has (at this point) 87,663 hits (and increasing fast).

Last time I checked this thread had 77 hits (and I presume mainly from webmasters).

If we can get some of these free links closed, then it will have a major impact.

Lets face it, its only been out 2 days.

At this rate in a weeks time everyone in the world who wants to will see it free.

At the moment lots of webmasters on this site have boaught domains hoping to make cash from them, but it will be these free links that will get to the top in google.

Thats the whole point though - its marketed as a leaked tape as it makes it more alluring to the public but there is no way I can see it being anything but 100% legit and legally acquired. More people will want to see it if they think its been nicked than if its just another porn movie.

Without having both parties consent there is no way it could be released through the channels it has - all the noise she is making in papers is just more free publicity to help her and others (hopefully!!) make money from it.

When you see FAST etc argue that game X or movie Y lost Z £million from piracy, they count every single one as a lost sale - so if a torrent has 300k downloads they work out the losses based on that. Its totally false. Yes even 1% of that amount is a big loss for SB and us as webmasters, but the reality is probably half, or more of adult webmasters started on a pirate copy of dreamweaver, using a freehost and using stolen content.

Good points, but when you consider the #1 search on google at the moment for k**ley sex ta*e is a forum with the full rapidshare rip, I'd say it's a safe bet that quite a big chunk of those surfers wwere more than likely at least apt to think about parting with their cash to see it.

Add in the other usual celeb name sex tape searches, and the top results giving away the full movie, and it's clear that a nice few quid is being lost, especially in this early stage where the hype is at it's biggest.
