How many of you use it, is it worth it for me as a pure affiliate to start using it?

nope! maybe got one or two signups so was way out of pocket...unless you got a monthly advertising budget then yeah it may help in getting the odd extra sales but you gotta get the balance right....something I wasnt too good at....gawd those were the days! I didnt bother marketing it or had any links to any other sites and i was still getting the odd cheque coming in! wish I kept it up now, could of been one of the big boys :)

I would steer well clear of Google adwords if i were you! Bit like filling your car up at the petrol station! It Guzzles up your money real fast and you don't seem to get a lot of mileage back in return for the money spent?

In my opinion using Google adwords as an affiliate to sell a sponsor is a bad idea (My opinion) unless they really do have a unique website and content you need to have very deep pockets. If you had your own product or paysite then yeah! Get burnt and learn the ropes so to speak. If you really do fancy giving it a bash do plenty of research and understand the basics of how to set up a campaign ensuring your keywords are set up to produce the best CTR etc...

All the best Bluey

Yep, I agree with the others. It's a quick way to pour money down the drain. That being said, this question's come up before on B&B and people have said that used carefully it can work.

If you have something to sell yes it can generate good money, but you really do need a good product or a lot of experience in using Google adwords! Anyone who has experience paid for it highly in the early learning process. If you haven't got money then trying to learn how to sell run-of-the-mill porn with Google adwords is a No Brainer in my book

Agreed bluey... but i think when i used it I think i was subject to dirty tricks too.... like competition having bots to click on your ad!!!!!!!!! Cost me quite a few grand!!!
That said when i put up a new site I do run a short adwords campaign... seems to help with initial se listings..

Funny you should mention that! Was running a campaign a few months back and there were only two other big players in the field. First day went fine. Then i just got my arse smacked! Some cunt must have sat there day and night clicking my ad, eventually pulled out. No option but to do it the hard way! SEO and doorway pages, Took a lot longer but i got there eventually

As Bluey said above, adwords is a very tight profit margin in adult these days. Factoring in shit clicks/scammy clicks and the decreasing quality of the adult traffic they send.

Also you have to into consideration their new quality score setup in relation to both add copy & landing page CTR. Which determines your cpc $ amount.

IMO adwords is good for adult if you are a paysite owner and good for affs with volume and on high pps or a guranteed rebill converter paysite. Adwords is also quite good for mainstreme sectors.

Also 8 times outa 10 you will make a loss on a campaign, before your turn a profit and those 2 campaigns are the winners that make up for it. :)

In my opinion if you are already listed in google then why bother with adwords? I can see on some of my blogs stats that a surfer DOES go to page 54 of a certain niche that may not be so high up in their pages! To be honest I myself very rarely click on the adword links on the right hand side of googles pages because most of the time I'm looking for stuff for free and I know those links in adwords are not going to be giving stuff away for free if someone is paying to advertise...I'm sure the surfer realises this after a while anyway!
