I love the homemade double chocolate that we have here… Even though it makes me slip into a coma…

But I also used to love the ice cream in Spain in the 1960s before they started selling all of that powdered camel shit that passes for ice cream everywhere now.

Also, I *love* Harrods Ice Cream Parlour. Might be an idea for a meet up there some when before the summers over?

They dont do any fancy flavours etc afaik, but for a decent 'old fashioned' ice cream you'll have a hard job to find better than Hockings (http://www.hockingsicecream.co.uk/history1.htm) ... if yer ever in this neck of the woods it's well worth tracking down one of their vans - :drink:

American.

The story i belive is that it was set up by two hippies who wanted chuncy ice cream. People loved it and bought from them. They give most of the cash to charity (or did as I think they sold the firm).

But the big boys Hagen Daz, who are in fact american and called the ice cream Hagen Daz as a clever marketing ploy (its the firm that owns the dough boy). Well they did everything to try to stop sales of ben and jerrys.

Its why I will never buy Hagen Daz due to their bad ways.
