Im just putting what software I wasnt on my new machine.

Ive always used Ipswich cute wsf ftp

anyone know of a better one?

I use ftp navigator http://www.vista.ru/2inter.htm i think its about a tenner to buy for life

i think i might try out that smartftp one is it free?

Don't know why but we always use WS_FTP for big uploads. Uploading an 850mb file right now and you just know that you can walk away and forget about it.

Must be getting old :)

I've just set up my Dreamweaver MX to connect by FTP so I can upload stuff straight from there - works great and means I don't have to mess about with WS_FTP any more. Well, hardly ever.

Same here. I used to use Dreamweaver MX as well, but most of my sites are dynamic now so DW isn't used as much

you will if you ever have to chmod anything ... still cant find how to do it on dreamweaver
