I am going to set up a webmaster event. I have decided that the efforts made by many people in the pas have done little to booster the UK webmaster communities.

For a start it needs to be located in a center of the country, it needs to be professional and not over run by half naked girls, theres no need for massive stands.

What we need in the UK is a nice comfy place where people can hear them selves think and discuss business. It's important to to get everyone there and instead of sponsors 'branding the bar' they could consider 'inviting' their affiliates.

Many of you wont like this but its time turn our back on the US and focus on our own market, using and promoting British Business online.

Formal business for a formal country.......

No buying no selling just 'dealing' - Seriuosly Andy I figure there maybe are around 50 people in the UK who would show up. There would be plenty of possitive descrimnation shown on my part, no GB passport no entry.

I will be MIA on Monday though will talk to you about this next week.

Excellent idea........... its something we are lacking on a regular basis. I agree with you on the half naked girls.

Seriously its something that should be set up and done maybe once every four months or something. I used to be a regular down in London but mostly it was adult check that was discussed.

One of the best I have ever been to in the UK was set up by MJH (lyford) I think it was about 4 years ago. About 40 webmasters from across the UK met in a hotel in the middle of the country, we booked a conference suite. We discussed everything pertaining to adult and the UK over sandwiches and a few beers for about 3 hours. Then went to the bar and got pissed. I did more business in those few hours than all the times I've been to Vegas.

Most organised sponsored meets just usually turn into a piss up and no business gets done. Not that I mind the piss up part :drink: you can count me in if you organise something.

From 2000 a crowd of us Adult Check wm's would meet in a London pub but unfortunately the last one was the last of these regular nights, due the those who organised that boat party last year, turning up and ruining the evening for us old timers :)

Richard and Global Charge organised a great party in 2003 in a bar in Covent Garden ... That's what's needed.. Then Johny could spam away and not be banned as he's not with the party organisers programmes... LOL.

The covent Garden one was OK, but Im finding these events often a waiste of time. If you want to get pissed and have a laugh with people you do business with online, then great, but theres been more surfers than webmasters to the last few. Its been like GFY on a boat

The covent garden one was a good night, but if I remember rightly the music was too loud to do any proper networking....but who cares it was a free bar :drink:

Never fancied the boat thing...

a fan of the guys who arranged the boat party and they feel the same towards me.. They should get on well with NoChex Paul... LOL

Those party givers may make loads more money than me but I enjoyed Erotica last year for one reason. I was talking to security at the entrance to the trade area wearing my usual "Press Pass" and telling the guys who I was expecting to join me there.. The party people had trouble getting in as my friends were waved through without an official badge to get in :) It ain't how much you make but how you are to others...

Some of you know I'll help anyone but shit on me... I use you for toilet paper.. Paul was the last victim :) Once I proved his flames were crap.. He ran away..
