Well it is only one page. I said he should do about 3 pages, just copy and change pics and text. I also suggested doing a trailer or two and have them linked to an HTML page with the trailers embedded with pics and joins link on the page.

Yeah that looks better. I did notice the pics inside the members area are huge - you could halve the filesizes and lose next to no quality easy enough. Quick ePics or a similar batch compression program will do the trick.

My only comments are to spell AMATEURES properly and to change the font of the body copy from Times New Roman to Arial or another sans-serif font.

Apart from that, I think it works just fine.

personally i would lose the times new roman font, go with arial or verdana, it just looks so much nicer.

Also, run your text through word before you put it into your page - it will highlight the gramatical errors and the typos more clearly. I think bad grammar and typos can give the surfer a negative impression.

I think that it doesn't have to be a super-slick looking site - the fact that it looks a little amateur is in keeping with the product.

I think it needs a little intro on dvtimes and what he does that's different from other sites before starting to talk about the girls.

The success of the Ben Dover and Buttman franchises is down to the way that the content is produced rather than the girls themselves - it gives their product a USP that differentiates them from all of the other generic amateur girl sites.

That seems decidedly better to me.

Personally, I would left align the text and not centre it. But I guess that's subjective, and personal.

Not so sure on that. I think this site will appeal massively to the 'razzle', 'escort', 'fiesta' et al market. The site name british slags could be offensive, no? Depends on what market you are pushing to I'd say, and for this market I don't think anyone will have a problem with the word cunt (or slag). JMHO.

Yeah I know what you mean about the button. Personally I wouldn't use anything with a Union Jack, but DVT said he wanted the background as UJ, which I thought would have been terrible so I just added some on the site. Bu if it were my site I would not use UJ buttons ast all.

The top text is good, but needs force justyfying. Loose the union jack button. Back up the text with pictures, see above

Big pictures of the girls in each scene. Or a link to a trailer. Im not getting stiffed up with those pics.

The banners on the black background. Make them the same. But loose the black background and loose the union jack. The text on its own looks nice. Maybe think about animating that.

As for the cunt debate, it's a word me and my mates used to use a lot when we were on the hunt back in the day, along with ' a bit of fanny', 'some gash' etc. flange was another one I seem to remember! I dont think the word 'pussy' is very British at all, certainly we never used it.

I used to advertise in computer mags when I was selling tangible goods, years before the net really took off. Only advice I'd give is to never pay the card rate. They usually asked about 400 quid, way back when, but could usually be talked down to 80 to 100. This was for a quite small ad.

Unless things have changed, I can't see it being economical to advertise web stuff in print for the most part.

Yes, I can see that they work for selling tangible goods and, before the Web took off, it was the only opportunity people had to buy specialized items.

But now I only read while I'm away from the PC. Sometimes I think "I'll check that URL out when I get home", but I always forget about it.

I once tried advertising webcams with small ads on the pages where they advertise phone sex. I had a very punchy headline telling punters that they must be made to pay GBP2.99/minute for a pre-recorded message when they could talk to a chick and watch her get naked for half that price.

The mags had a circulation of over 150,000, but I don't think even 10 people went to the link.

I'm glad it wasn't my money I'd wasted! :)

It's OK, but I always think that people who have a bare minimum entry page are missing an opportunity to try and presell the content.

If I was doing it, I'd try and give reasons why people should enter the site on this page.

Something along the lines of:

I do this as a while ago a host asked me to.

Personaly I do not think it does the site harm, a bit like opening a book.

But also from a legal aspect, simply that by entering it says you have agreed that your 18 and so on.

I just think there will be less chance of proplems from people moaning.

Although this domain is harxh (it sounds rude) the others are tame and so people may come onto them in error. And these days people try to take you court over the siliest thing. I could see some moron trying to make a quick buck by claiming they were offended by the site. By putting a clear warning statment to me it reduses the propems.

Plus I like a warning page personaly. I think its a nicer way to enter a site.

Also I set it up (i think if i did it correct) so that affiliates can send people to any page they want. ccbill lets you go for that option, so if affiliates want to do that its up to them.

But whenever i have a look at porn sites, to me sites with a warning page just feels fuller, if you get me.

But I live in the UK, so UK laws apply.

If people want me to I can put the statment on the site as I have full id for models plus model release. That is if the FBI want to fly to the UK to check them.

Unless my host or ccbill insist on it, I cannot see the need.

But if any of you want me to add it, I will add it.

If you have American affiliates promoting you then its them who should have a 2257 bollocky thing not you. So they would just have a link or URL to 2257 and on there they give contact details for you or whoever they got the content from.

What billing company requires you to have a false link stating where you havn't got the correct data in place and that may well in any case break EU law?

When will people realise that 2257 is about the way records are kept and putting a link on a website isnt being 2257 compliant

To be honest I don't think it hurts to put a link up with a page with contacs details, although I don't do it on anything, oh apart from freesites, but I don't really do them any more cos LL's are getting fucking ridiculous with all their stupid rules.

I don't not what will die first. TGP or LL's I think LL's, but it will be close.

The thing is, is that all anyone has to do in the usa is simply pay to have there records hidden or even put a false address down when they register a site.

Without the real address I cannot see anything happening.

I am sure many in the usa have done this.

If you want to go for a "Posh" look you would need to find a more "refined" model and also be using either a studio or at least better locations than a council house oop north. You need to get some proper "studio" lighting, portable flash units with brollies or preferably softboxes.

To be honest, I don't think you are ready for a "Posh" site even if you found the right model.

Also the site design would have to be classy as well and not with an "amateur" feel.

It seems like you have had an idea "Posh" and then just chucked any old content on there, that will not work and even if you did get sales I bet the CB's would be a bastard.

My advice if forget "posh" and stick with what you know and do best...Amateur

i think i have sorted it now.

By the way i think some of you are getting confused by rich and posh.

Basicly i am just shooting models and it will take a bit to build up content, but at least members of the first site will access it.

But the way i am seeing it is sort of a mix of football wifes (blond types) as well as middle class look.

Its going to be basicly a readers wife site with a bit of class.

Give me time to get it going. I would think 3 to 4 months then i will get it properly desiged. But till then its basicly a bonus site for the first one.

I think it will help selling the first site a bit easer, simply as people get more than one site.

only my first site is going to be realy british.

the 3rd site i plan is the most exciting i have planed. in fact it should sell with ease.

But before that i need to shoot lots of content and get a few members to cover the costs.

By the way would webmasters prefer me to ad a trial option to the site or not? Ie join for a day for £3 or somthing then after that it would automaticly be full price recering?

I'm a complete novice at this but I would guess that if you did that, surfers would sign up for the trial and then cancel, instead of signing up for the first month and then cancelling. So you just lose on the one-month sign ups more than you gain from the trial sign-ups. Unless your content is shit hot and there's so much of it they can't possibly see or download it all in three days.your probably correct.

I've found that most Americans wont touch anything which doesn't state a price in dollars, infact when I went to the US on holiday most didn't seem to have a clue what other currencies were let alone their worth against the dollar. I would at least mention the dollar price as well as the amount in sterling if you want to make any revenue from that side of the pond.

Sorry to say, but its still goosed in ff .. the 'this site is part of a network' link is in the middle of the first paragraph.
Also, you can still make oout most of your number plate in the bottom pic .. if you wanted to hide it ( a fair task with the audis paint job ) then this could do with a blur or similar.
