I listened to Hariet Harmon (skuse spelling) give a brief about tightening up on kerb crawlers -
Which, of course, will push the drug using - need cash to score - type of girl willing to drop her pants for that cash, further out into the forest looking for her punter.
Putting these girls into even greater risk/danger.
If the government wants to do something seriously about this, stop pounding billions of pounds into American wars, and put the cash into educating and rehabilitation of our own. Give those girls a chance in life. And if that isn't enough, give them a second chance.
Sometimes, through no fault of our own, we end up in deep shit - A drunken, heroin filled girl should be saved rather than discarded - That is possible -
An Iraqie doesn't give a stuff after years of repression and a handfull of dollars given to him from, who cares who, just to plant this bomb here, there or any where to kill our own guys - Sort of make us the loser twice?

Typical Labour really. Their kneejerk response to anything is more legislation, regardless of whether or not there's legislation already there that would do the job if it were enforced, such as the law against kerb-crawling.

The other option is Cons. whos seem to be following labour leads - Liberals once had the answer - But when it was shown Thorpe was gay, nobody took him seriously!

Harriet Harman is an irrelevant out-of-touch know nothing champagne socialist, always has been. In fact that's what she is, a has-been.

So, what you are talking about is a total ending of the prostitution, stripping, and adult porn trades?
You looking into moving into mainstream marketing?
The kerb crawling thing is kinda topical so u can understand them making noises about it.
Governments run out of ideas after a few terms so have to resort to all the non-urgent stuff that might make the numbers look better. It happens to all the parties once they've been in for a while. Haven't heard the news for a while but the job seekers allowance thing today made me think that. Parallels with the last conservative government imo... and Scarface... table of cocaine and a machinegun!!
Legalize it, take the girls off the streets and put em in brothels, problem solved , ish

That would raise prices.
That is counterproductive.

No - Far from it -
Clearly, drug prossies need some kind of help - The initial problem is the drugs -
There are other choices on how they can operate without putting their lives at risk -
And yes - I have a mainstream biz - But ain't giving up the adult stuff just yet.

Stop being sensible.
It will not stop it completely but will reduce it a lot. Czech has legal affordable brothels. The street prostitutes are at a minimum.
CS has the right idea with education.
However ever thought heroin addict prostitutes standing on street corners is not educating some kids that drugs are bad?

As with any other product or service, price is only part of the equation or else we would all be driving a Kia and shopping in Aldi.
Name me any brand that is the cheapest and also the best-selling?

VHS. Lower price and lower quality than Beta, took the market on price.
You are right about price being part of the equation. And generally I would agree with you.

VHS vs. Beta was hardly about branding though - it's about formats. It was Sony vs. Everyone Else. Same reason why the PC beat the Mac.
Matsui VHS vs. Panasonic VHS is a better example.

I read somewheres that Sony reufsed to allow adult content on Beta ( sounds like a dubious factoid to me ), and the same happened with laserdisc. For that reason they never took off. Dunno if this is true.

On the VHS story my understanding was the industry decided to go for VHS.
