The dude that was nabbed in Rome ... much in the way of speculation that there's planned attacks there ... or he just fled there?

Seems like a contadiction - Suicide bombers arrested -

But, + speaking - Having all four is a mighty weapon against further footsoldiers joining the ranks - Especially when these guys realise they have been totally left to fend for themselves by the people who recruited them into this action -
The Police should first of all show them the remains of the 7/7 bombers - I think some truths will hit home to them then.

so what difference is there to any under cover mission where "gov denies knowledge" ?

i'm pretty sure they were aware that they are on their own, once caught.

and to make my original question more obvious, do you really think anyone of those out on the front line knows anyone actually important in their system? why would they be structured in cells, if they then knew each other anyway? their form of organization is done so they cannot spill too much once they are caught. and they most definitely know that.

Precisely, that's why the current "War on Terror" (or The War Against Terror - TWAT) is such bullshit. We need proper international police work to weed out these fuckers, not more wars.

So they don't know the person that recruited them, and those recruiters have no one above them...
Think again - There has to be a logical structure in place otherwise the whole system would burn out very quickly

Or are you suggesting an everyday kind of muslim wakes up one day to an anon email telling him to pick up a rucksack from a parked car and then go to the tube station to blow the train up?
Sure the Police don't think along those lines.

ah, you are slowly coming around to grasping the concept.

yes, there are recruiters. after recruiting you are passed on to the 2nd person giving you all the instructions and "what you need to know". and a 3rd person (we are oversimplifying here, obviously their can be a chain of instructors) is the one to trigger you, when your day has come. that person does not have to see you, nor do you have to see or know them. they just need to have a means of contacting you to pass on the trigger message. phone, mail, letter, tape, a personal ad in the news paper, a website, ...

that trigger message can come years after you have been installed, surely you have heard of sleepers.

by then you will have forgotten who exactly recruited you, who exactly gave you the info you needed and on top of that you surely haven't seen any ID of the recruiter or anyone else. so you may call them by one name you know them, which isn't necessarily their real name.
