View Full Version : Warning to anyone using NoChex
Little while back NoChex changed their T&C's to prohibit the sale of adult DVDs and similar content (and yes I know the hypocrisy is blatant as they still have the adult section on their shop site where lots of people are selling not only adult DVDs but blatantly pirated content as well).
I had been looking for alternatives anyway as the service from them is pretty shit at best but started to look for another processor in earnest when they changed the terms and conditions.
Well today I got an email from NoChex shutting down my account with immediate effect - no warnings, no grace period nothing. I suspect if they are cracking down on adult DVDs then its only a matter of time till anything adult is banned so if you are using them for payment processing for anything adult my advice is hedge your bets and either have two processors or start looking for an alternative and bloody quick.
In the meantime my business has been closed as of now till I can set up the new payment processor - Im looking at two weeks plus of downtime and a cost to me of at least 5 grand of lost profit not to mention the customers I am gonna lose in the process so to say Im fucked off is the understatement of the year.
You have been warned.......

Sorry to hear your bad news but the signs were on the horizon. Do you have another processor lined up?
Yes and no - the delay has always been trying to find a processor who can accept Switch cards. There are lots who can offer credit cards but VERY few who can accept Swicth and it accounts for almost 50% of my business so Im fucked if they cant take swicth (though not quite as much as I am now!).
If anyone knows of a processor who can take switch as well as credit cards let me know - fees are unimportant right now, I need to get back online again

We have already spoken about this in depth and the company you put me on to are the ones Im currently looking most seriously at but they are quoting 2 weeks set up time PLUS they dont take switch so while they are the best of a "bad bunch" they still dont address my specific needs.

Hi got you now ;-)
OK look ther issue with them and switch is coming to a head and they have a bank they are testing to use and my understanding is it will be live this 1/4.
On different note its worth knowing that Switch & Solo are being fazed out as we speak, and the most comman UK debit card is VISA Debit which works anywhere you see the visa sign.
Two weeks set up time is pretty quick, this is not a 3rd party account its a full merchant account some that is worth while thing to have esp if your business is to sell online :)
As for Nochex they seem to have picked a few people out, I still sites advertised on their portal that sell adult dvd's !!!!

Paycom really is only much use if you have your own backend systems, they have advised me they want to offer a CP like CCBill though Im not sure its on their dev plan
