Hang on, I'll look at the listings. I've only got the "ordinary channels". I had a digi box but it broke.

Good news!
University Challenge at 8-00.
Have I Got News For You? at 10-00. Ann Widdecombe is the chairperson.

That'll do me.

My Parents Are Aliens on CITV and Neighbours (shit that's Australian isn't it?). Chuckle Brothers when they're on.

Planet Earth documentary on Sundays is good. That's about as much as I watch.

Will watch Dr Who on Christmas day.

I would watch My Parents Are Aliens, but I always forget when it's on. 'Part from that I usually watch University Challenge and QI.

I noticed there's some documentary about how easy it is to buy a fake passport and get into Britain on at 9-00. I'm sure tho when we get these id cards all that would be stopped.

I've only got the Foreign BBC channel BBC Prime.. so don't have the choice of you lot.

I do plan on watching Bodies and perhaps Spooks. And if I'm still up at 4am I may watch Holby City.

Once the TV is turned on for Bodies later it will probably stay on BBC Prime in the background all night though.. cos there's nothing on the movie channels that I haven't seen/recorded already. And there's fuck-all on the normal channels worth turning over for.

If I was in the UK I'd probably watch the farepak thing/eastenders/trauma/panorama on beeb1 then turn over to beeb2 for have I got news for you.

There are a lot of "My Parents Are Aliens" fans. One of the very best kids shows that adults can also enjoy.

I remember one Blue Peter thing where we had to send in bottle tops or something, but you can imagine the smell of all that rotting cream. I think it was to buy a Land Rover for some orphanage in Africa. When they got enough money they send the Land Rover and they showed a picture of the staff and children and the Land Rover. All the staff were black and the man in charge ( Dr Smith or sombody ) was white. The Blue Peter woman said

"Here's the Land Rover, with Dr Smith and the staff. Dr Smith is the one wearing glasses".

I think you're missing the point about how good UK TV is.

There is a whole bunch of crap on UK TV, its frequently pretty rubbish and there isn't anything to watch.. however every other country has it worse.

Also in my opinion Planet Earth is worth the licence fee on it's own.

I think a lot of people would agree with you, tho I don't watch programs of things eating other live things, as I am squeemish.

Now all we need to to is find a way for people who think "xyz alone is worth the licence fee" to be able to pay for it and watch it, and those who don't be allowed to watch telly anyway. Did anyone say "pay per view"?

Quick! Quick! The Good Life is just starting on BBC Prime right now!

And you bunch of moaning bastards with your five terrestrial channels and another 500 on Sky think you're hard done by.

Bloody kids today don't know they're born!

I don't have a telly.
Haven't had one since mid-Oct.
Beginning to miss it.
A friend donated his old one to me but I can't pick anything up on it.
Hopefully I'll get one for Xmas. :(

My mum asked what I wanted for my birthday. I said just give me money. She said no....I'm not giving you money to piss up against the wall. So what did she bloody buy me? A TV licence.
Great....innit?

Thing is, I doubt a show like Planet Earth would get made on a PPV basis.

I don't know. You hear so many people say "so and so alone was worth the licence fee" that if they all paid £150 per show, then there would be plenty of money to make these shows.

What people say and what they actually do are often different things. It's like when McDonalds in the US asked people if they would like more salads. People said yes. McDonalds introduced more salads. People didn't buy them.

Yes, you're right, I always suspected that "blah blah alone was worth the licence fee" to be a load of old bollocks.
