Caught the last hour this morning, Rugby, Cricket and Football, it is always the same with England. It is like we have two different teams, you just wonder which one is going to turn up on the day.

Although a very good 2 days so far, you cannot help but feel that if Australia had batted first they would have been sitting on a score of 650+ after two solid days?

yes, maybe.

But a couple of early wickets tonight could lead to an early exit. Its getting exciting :gaylords:

I am from Northampton and there is quite a buzz about him around the town, a very exciting bowler and nothing like him for years. Yes you would be fielding with 10 men and batting with 10 but looking at what the bowlers achieved in match 1 :noway:

Fell asleep before Collingwood got his double ton :( Not that it wasn't good stuff, but I was tired!

England need to put the Aussies under pressure - the last time the Aussies were under pressure was 2005, when they crumbled a bit, not being used to all the pressure. Ponting goes off his head under pressure. A few quick wickets with a firing Harmison and Flintoff tonight should start the heads rolling...

Come on England :gold:

Because of the result? Or because of the thought that the Aussies are becoming sophisticated these days and drinking red wine?

I rarely get annoyed, but have to say Dumbkopf Fletcher should resign as soon as the Ashes series loss is confirmed. When it's patently obvious that the senior management is picking favourites, based on what they have done before rather than their current abilities, out of some misplaced sense of loyalty, then it is time to change to a more objective management. Giles effectively lost this match when he dropped Ponting - Monty Panesar couldn't have fielded any worse than that. Pieterson bowled better than Giles, (but batted worse than Giles in the 2nd innings)

The decision to play Giles over Panesar will go down as perhaps the worst selection choice in Ashes history.

Perhaps they will pick Monty for Perth and he will help England salvage a series draw to retain the Ashes.

Or will the fat man still be singing "We want to bat all the way to number 8, we want to bat all the way down to number 8" Fat fucking lot of good it's done them :(
