Cricket is the only game in the world where they announce the score and I still have no clue who won.

That's because half the time it's a draw!

I was sent to Kennington to film a match once....only once. They never let me near a cricket pitch again. I sucked big time because I had no idea what was going on.

The great thing about cricket is you dont have any idea whats going on, as long as you have beer a hamper and alot of ex convicts to hurl insults at :gaylords:

can someone explain to me how you can draw a cricket match? it seems against the odds that both of you will get like 496 runs... or whatever... ?

It's the wickets over time left and runs required equation with the weather factored in - simple :crown:

Off topic this but JT who is your avatar? It's driving me mad. I know he was a British character actor from my childhood but I just can't remember his name. Pray tell :-)

I don't think I'm gonna be getting much sleep over the next week lol. Chances of me getting any work done are about 0.

I think we're gonna miss Simon Jones more than Tres and Mick.

Oh yes. Thanks! I remember him in films like the Lavender Hill Mob, St Trinnians etc.

Couldn't give a toss about the cricket, by the way.

Mmmm - noticed that at the end of Wikipeadia's biography of him. But, since it was only "allegedly" I decided it just wasn't cricket to mention it.

It wasnt just once and it was his daughter that outed him.

What's an ashes?

Its like football.....but it lasts 20 days instead of 60 minutes, the ball is much smaller and only two countries are allowed to play, that gives us a chance of winning :gaylords:

I just can't get that excited about something which will mostly happen while I'm unconcious.
