bit of a rant.

first i wake up with a very nice domain in my mind, immediately plotting a site for it. of course it's already registered, since 1996, too. prolly hasn't been touched since 98, at least the frames and sponsors used suggest so. PR3, so nothing exciting either, basically a built and forgotten site.
total waste of the wonderful domain, as it's not using the potential at all. and the sponsor links are mostly linking to dead sponsors or no longer running sites. cannot be making much if at anything at all.

what would it take if it was your domain and someone approached you to sell it? money clearly cannot be their motivation. :noway:

later in the day i stumble across a talented young man who does great video editing as a hobby. he is all interested in doing some work or us for a small income. until i mention it will include nudity to a certain extent (underwear or topless, nothing more) - he flat out refuses to do adult clips. -spill-

what has the world come to, a 19 years old stud not wanting to get his hands on porn?

Hear you on the domain thing. I recently thought of one that also was registered many years ago, but to this day is parked at sedo, just the usual generic parking page with links to gambling, airports etc, real waste of potential. The domain is up for sale apparently, so I make an offer, hear nothing, up the offer, hear nothing again.

Could be the offer was deemed detrimental, but the parked page is still there, doing nothing, so it doesn't appear as the owner said hmm.. I wonder why this domain is wanted. I was kinda surprised that if nothing else the guy didn't say 'up it to £20k and I might sell' or something, but nada.

As for the college guy, meh, makes you worry for the future doesn't it.

It's years since the Internet has started and the domains available are limited. You have to play around with the words, but still a few nice ones to pick up.

As for the editing guy, we sometimes fool ourselves that everyone is into porn, he might be into Jesus or Mohamed. Who knows, but it's his decision, live with it.

Many people dont like to be seen to do porn at all. Like Peter Pan said, we all think its normal but its still taboo with many people

I can understand the guy. I come from a very religious background and I do my porn behind closed doors. I lead a double like. Its easy cos I live alone.

It must be something in the air!
I wanted to a new domain, something like mellow.com, a laid back kind of name, but surprise, surprise it was taken ( just about every word in the dictionary seems to have been registered ) but I got wellmellow.com no problem :)
