View Full Version : Anyone recommend cheap web authoring software?
Dreamweaver - I like it but it's expensive and a friend of mine wants to build and look after her own website, but doesn't want to pay the dreamweaver price tag.
Is there some other software that's much, much, much cheaper - like sub £100? Don't suggest MS FrontPage because I wouldn't wish that pile of Satan's vomit on anybody - plus it costs about 150 quid.
Dreamweaver 1 was actually free if you can find it anywhere?
FP is monkey vomit and should be banned.
HTML Pad isnt bad for simple work.... $29 look on download.com
Frontpage rocks ;)
It does some pretty neat tricks too. :)

oooh - sharp remark! I get your drift but I think Joey would be too intelligent to choose FP.

Looks good for what it is but my friend needs something more WYSIWYG like DW, FP etc. Maybe there just ain't anything else but I wondered whether someone like Sage might do something.

I should be so lucky as to know some young female students!! No - she's a middle aged lady but not well off. Hence website on a shoe string.
I would rather put two kids through Oxford than use FP.
