i might have a left over 800 MHz box soon, which i can either sell off on eBay or fiddle with. so i thought why not finally get around to do some proper linuxing.

the most reasonable use appears to be a gateway kinda setup, have it between the DSL modem and the LAN and used as firewall. are there any sources on how to manage this with practically no linux knowledge other than the odd playing around with Knoppix and dyne:bolic?

To make it entirely clear: The "k" is NOT SILENT. ;-)

You may also want to check the last part of the english KNOPPIX-FAQ.
