Anyone got any thoughts on how this could affect us on this side if the Atlantic?

Well I would imagine everyone will put their prices up to cover the cost, so we'll probably see and increase in hosting charges and the like by about 30%

OTOH it would just bring the US to european levels. proper income tax and restricitons like the germans suffer them already. considering the state of the german market, it might open up a huge chance for non-US businesses. as long as we don't get hit with the same restrictions as well. which brings back in that swedish cunt of a politician who slams basically everything erotic as "degrading women" (wonder if she is aware of gay porn?)

OTOH, do we really expect anyone/any company who can afford it not to move out of the US then?

what we shouldn't forget is the fact it's just a draft yet. most likely we will never hear of it again past next week.

It would be too difficult to implement and, would fail to get through congress because lawyers will simply say that usa webmasters already pay tax and this bill equates to double jepardy. (Which means they could possibly find a levvy to put against non Yank webmasters without a problem)!
