some boards seem to attract folks that will open up any old site, put something on it and try to sell it soon afterwards, often enough within the 60 day period where you cannot even transfer the domain yet (unless i missed a change there)

have you done that yourself yet? may we know why?

have you bought any of those offers yet? again, may we know why?

the way it appears to me is one would get a newly registered domain with some bog standard layout on it. if it went for the asking price i sometimes see, it'd be between 200 and up to 500 bucks. for less than 10 you can reg a domain and with a lil luck you get an acceptable start page design done for 100 bucks. and you have some thing you actually made and like rather than something you may have to tweak anyway.

I keep seeing the same guy from the UK trying to sell his link list on GFY the site is a pile of pooh, with no traffic as far as I can see, I guess they are aiming their sites at newbies

must do, anyone with half an idea how to put a site together can do most of the offered ones within short time.

i did a quick search on the various ebays today. especially the german one is full of "web projects" - some domain regged, a layout slapped on it and off it goes. they seem to sell too.

makes you wonder if one should abuse one's drawing skills, pop out some logos or cartoons and try that, easy extra money, some sells a bundle of 19 IMO not too exciting domains with sites on ebay UK, starting bid 700 quid, and he has bidders already. prolly a neat way to get rid off domains you no longer need, instead of just dropping them, squeeze a bit of money out of them.

its amazing how many lazy buggers there are out there that would rather pay a few hundred bucks for a site that is already setup then take the 5 or 10 hours and do it themselves.

cheers,
Luke
