Thats not what it says. It says

"13.1 It is a mandatory condition of applying to use the NOCHEX service that you agree that you will not use the service for Gambling, Betting, the purchase sale or exchange of prepaid credit and debit cards, EGold or R18 videos or DVDs."

R18 videos and DVDs are not websites

You need to read the whole thread over on bgafd. He starts off by saying the quote you have and then ends up by saying:

Nochex have just confirmed that they have also pulled the use of their service for access to UK Adult sites with movie downloads / streaming so it's not just R18 tangable sales."

When somebody else questions him about this he says he has an e-mail from NoChex saying this is so. What I'm trying to find out is if anybody else has heard this.....

Sounds like hear say to me. Its either No Chex Policy and everyone gets a mail or its not.

But that said I wouldnt be supprised. You only need to be 16 to get a debit card in this country and so they are, I would think, leaving themselves open to problems with the banks letting webmasters use it to sell memberships

I heard this applies to any adult site - knowing them the way I do they will be more careful then need be as they know HM Customs will shut em down.

They have a relationships with the police, customs, FSA etc and with Giro bank selling its 'online processing book' to a sub sid of Bank of Ireland - adult really is not a good thing to be doing.

Couple all this with the fact they have one aquiring bank they risk loosing the entire business by taking on adult business.

The joke of it all is they still list all the people who sell DVD's using Nochex on their highstreet - http://www.listyourporn.com/listyourporn/XXXdvd.htm

Lets be frank, I built them a good customer base who I looked after and helped out in real time something they didnt and still dont do. They reduced the processing fees which reduced margins by about 30 - 40% with the hope to attract new business.

This has not worked, they have failed to keep an eye on the adult biz as whole and as result have lost touch with whats what, Nochex will argue its not their market and can do without the hassle.

My gut feeling is - they will process for what they dont see, if they find you doing it they will cut the account if you are doing any movie download etc.

Personally, I think its fucking great news, if anyone needs processing for their DVD store just call me up :-)

Theres no need for Nochex now, you can use Paycom to bill UK Debit Card Holders whats more even rebill them! Nochex USP was 'Switch / Solo' this is in the process of being fazed out and when it is any EU debit card with go through a regular CC gateway similar to how Visa Debit does today
