I would, but monkey says its a bad idea - I was so upset when she died. they dont live long enough. Plus we have no one who could look after it if we went away at all and my nearly in law hates animals so I can't take with me.

I remember when we bought a couple hamsters.
They were Russian and bred like bitches!
By the end of two months we had 52 little fuckers!
So didn't get any more and concentrate on Ben, our guinea pig! He was lovely but then died of old age - fucker.
Paul wants another hamster or a Chinchilla but he never cleans the cage out! That's always my job and I'd rather not have one of those cute little buggers around while Alyssa still see's everything smaller than her as "Food" - it's bad enough when she tries to eat the cats...
My sis got rats, urgh, and one bit the baby but she still keeps em around ...

Well cute.
A tip from me:
I found that somtimes when I had mine she after several weeeks got itchy skin. I used to gently bath her with just plain water and it seems to do the trick. Plus she enjoyed combing herself.
Mine ran around the house. She hated the hamster ban and just ran it into the wall till it broke. Although she did love to chance the dog in it (it scred him).

JP's tip of the day #1 - When painting and decorating, move yer hamsters out of the room ... otherwise you run the risk of finding the fuckers dead in their cages, will have no choice but to throw them out with the rubbish, and have to come up with some bollocks excuse to yer daughter as to why her pets have vanished :sick:

I used to have an albino hamster when i was a kid,but my grandma disposed of it,not knowing that they hibernate.Little fucker used to bite all the time anyway.

I didnt :blush: my first one I buried in my parents back garden (I was 14) and my second one as I was living in this flat, I had her cremated and I scattered her ashes in a park. :( cost me £30 too.

i had a russian hamster and it hibernated, my mum didnt know and when i was at school she came in to hoover and thought it was dead. she put it in a cornflake box and threw it in the back of the bin lorry when they came to empty the bins!! I was so upset Linford had gone, my mum tried to tell me he really was dead but i knew she was lying and a few years later she told me the truth that he prolly was asleep but she didnt know.
I then got a ginger one like JTs and callded it Blossom, she went missing for 2 weeks then turned up in my dads sock drawer, little fucker! That died of old age.

get a wheel a she/he will love it.
get a ball to run in. but some hate them. mine hated them and in the end i let mine run about without it, but my first loved it. it used to run after the dog as it was safe in the ball.
