Petrol stations.
Has anyone produced a website or map where UK petrol stations are?
I have thought this would be a great idea. It would be useful to have this info in the car, so if you get low on petrol you can find the nearest station.
doesn't every serious mobile phone provider offer such services these days? they know where you are since you have to be logged in to a transmitter station, from that they can direct you to the nearest places of interest. i know 3 does in every country they are in.

Yes a website would be great, when you have broken down in the middle of no where with out a petrol station near you :smoke:

What I mean is that you could print out where they were, or better still upload the site to your pocket computer.
I carry my palm with me often, and if I could look up petrol stations on it, it would be of great use.

I use t mobile. I will check to see if they do.
But then again I am cheapskate and would hate to have to keep paying 50p or so each time.
Any decent SatNav software will have petrol stations 'on the map'.

That said, some time back I was on the m62 and in a huge trafic jap. I was in green flag at the time, and I phoned them. They told me a short cut (which was cool of them, plus it was a free phone nomber).
I am in the rac now, i wondfer if they would tell you the nearist station?

Or alternatively before you run out fill up at any of the 100's of petrol stations you pass every day

A nice free website would be better.

It fucks your injectors up when you let it run to low, plus it works your fuel pump to hard. Its a false economy, keep the tank full

I always thought that was what the fuel warning light was for ... youve got about 50 miles worth of fuel left .. find a station .... :takethat:
