View Full Version : Is Argos the best shop in the world?
I fucking love Argos. Its the easiest and best place to buy anything.
You sit in bed and look through the catalogue and pic what you want. You then send the mrs down to get one. Then a 364 days later you take it back and say its shit and they change it

Catalogues?, I do it all online and THEN send the missus down to pick it all up.
Yeah it's great if you have something for a long time and it breaks you just go and buy another one, swap them over over and take the old one back.
You can even buy a set of saucepans, take out the nice big frying pan, then just take it all back, minus the the nice big frying pan :takethat:

Ah the modern man like you does in online, the old fashioned man like me uses a catalogue but still the mrs goes and picks it up :drink: :takethat:

The place is a rip-off though.

depends as with everything in retail. we picked up some birthday pressies in May and got a nice deal, Gameboy games for 15 rather than 20 quid as they were everywhere else. even the closing down Index was not as cheap.
Everything I buy from there (well the wife really) seems to be small? I came to the conclusion that they kept their prices respectable by saving on raw materials.
They remind me of diet foods, you buy them and discover the only reason they have half the fat is they are half the size.
