they pick it up from the parents or other kids at school, the trick is to take no notice of them or tell them its a grown up word. My 4 year old went through a phase of saying bollocks which he learnt from a kid at school (whos parents are idiots) i told him it was a grown up word then just took no notice of it and he soon stopped. Then he started to say shit which he got from his dad, he didnt intend say it in front of him but he overheard it once and said it all the time. They say it so they get attention, he didnt get any from swearing only for good behavior, so he stopped.

Haha well if you put your child infront of b&b then yeah maybe they do, i must stop doing that and tell aaron its bad for him too

Although of course I dont encourage them, I dont mind my kids swearing around me so long as they use the offending word in a sentence .. :bandb:
You can't shield kids from vulgar language nowadays .. so my way of thinking was to bring them up so that such words have no "shock factor" attached to them ....
I know with 100% certainty that my kids won't be the ones in the playground thinking it's either big or clever to swear :S
*disclaimer - my kids only say "shit" "bollocks" "bastard" and "tosser". Nothing bad .. like "Gypsyslagwagons" or "boobs"
Same way as a parrot, but you don't need to feed them Trill

In today's world you can't help but have your kids hear swearing, it's on telly, even before the watershed.
Then you get those stupid half assed parents like my sister and her friends who actually teach them to say bad words, my neice is 2, she can tell you to p-off!
Some stupid ned kids think it's cool to teach their kids these things, and stuff like that silly bitch whats her name that says "Am I bovvered" gosh, all those silly mums are teaching their kids that and they think it's hilarious...
Then of course when the kids who don't swear go to school they hear all that crap...
When I was about 10 I came home from school saying 'fuck' as I had learnt it in the playground. My Guardian reading right on Ma sat me down, explained exactly what the word meant (telling me the facts of life at the same time), explained the anglo-saxon derivation of the word (she has an English degree) and then said that it was OK to say it at home, but I couldn't say it at my grandparents or in the classroom.
Excellent way to deal with it imho. I wasn't going to STOP saying it as it was clearly cool.
However, I went to school the next day and told the rest of the kids about the birds and the bees.
Other parents picking up their kids that week were pissed at her for that!!! HEHEHE.
I don't swear anywhere near how I used to, I swear more online then I do in real life. One of my mates used to say I shouldn't swear in front of my kids cos they will swear. I would say I smoke in front of my kids (when I smoked) and I drink in front of my kids and they know they mustn't do it.
None of my children swear and if they did I certainly would not ignore them I would get the bat out.

Did eveyone else miss this or did no one else think that there is something wrong here.
It sounds like a child says fuck, now a child saying fuck is not very nice, but surely that video was not being shot with a child in ears shot :geezer:

You're fucking joking? Where did you grow up?
I've got a son, now grown up, and while he was little we made sure never to swear around him. Sometimes it was fucking hard work. So we got the little angel to five years old and sent him to the local infant school. By the end of his first week he knew every word in the book, and we wondered why we bothered.
Shit fuck cunt wank bollocks.
That's better.
