Ive got a site Im a bit bored with and was thinking of getting rid of, anyway I was just looking at the site to see what search results it gets from search engines. The site is http://www.fetishshark.com

Anyway I noticed it got 10 people refered for "hardcore porn" yesterday from Yahoo, so I searched for hardcore porn on yahoo and found the top 20 results where all big free sites.

The top 15 sites were as follows

www.worldsex.com
www.89.com
www.pichunter.com
www.thehun.com
www.easypic.com
www.sublimedirectory.com
www.al4a.com
www.boneprone.com
www.xnxx.com
www.manpics2000.com
www.tommys-bookmarks.com
www.persiankitty.com
www.tiava.com
www.richardsrealm.com
www.ampland.com

My site was number 72 on the list.

I was thinking have these 10 surfers all not found enough free fucking porn with all the biggest free sites on the net, then have gone through 71 free porn sites to find more free porn. Talk about cheap skates.

add to that, people often talk about TGP traffic being not as good as search engine traffic, well these TGP's are certainly getting there fair share of search engine traffic

I don't do too well with Yahoo - considering my domains are .co.uk it mayhave something to do with it. As with what you are saying I havesome good keywords with other SE's and when I look its similar to what you see.

when I watch people browse they 9/10 they hit the top result, normally a sponsored link, its not often I see peoplescan the results more closely.

I watched some people in an IT open center browsing a few weeks back, what stood out were the number of peolpe who just typed in the site url or clicked on something that was sent to them on MSN.

Yahoo gives me good results, I am quite happy with them. One possibility is that the surfer is displaying 100 results at a time and thought yours looked interesting and good enough to click.

cheers,
Luke

yeah, not too many people bother changing those settings but I like browsing 100 at a time esp when trying to figure out how my sites are going. Oh, there is also this site that allows you to check out your rankings too: http://www.yahoosearchrankings.com

cheers,
Luke
