What's the best gif animator? I've been using one for years that's pretty crap at optimizing (I think it's a free one actually). Any recommendations? (JT, I like your new little sig button, what did you use for thet?)
Image ready and photoshop are the best way by far in my opinion

I didnt do that button btw, but it was done in image ready

Excellent news, I never realised Image ready could do it, I'll take a look in the help files. Thanks.
Macromedia Fireworks is excellent too. :)
For animated stuff I still use GIF Constructor and it's about verson 0:1
although now I do use Image Ready to compress them :)

Even though I use Photoshop for web use, for gifs I use Jasc Animation Shop 3 that comes with Paint Shop Pro 9

Funnily enough I actually removed Fireworks from my computer just yesterday as I've never used it since I got the Studio 8 package. I always use Photoshop.
Thanks all of you for the advice.

If you have used photoshop and are used to it, as some people can be screded off by its not very friendly interface, you'll find image ready a doddle.
Best thing to do is to make a little image and click the image ready button at the bottom of the photshop tool bar, this will open the graphic in image ready for you. Then its just swiotching on and off the layers as you see fit via an animation scroll window.
Next week I shal be mostly typing in English !!
Have fun :joystick:
