been earning buggar all with the tgp site, only just started blogs and quite like how the traffic flows to them, my tpg traffic is getting less and less...plus at lot of bandwidth is taken up by them on my server, may free it up for the blogs, comus is a good script but its just not doing it for me....just a little scared to pull the plug on them! lol

I moved all my sites over from comus and JMB's rotator to smart thumbs and the growth and conversions have been great.
I love comus. If you pull the plug let me know and I'll probably buy them off you, dependant on what niche and price etc

hmm maybe I'm being too rash, I do link the blogs to my tgps and vice versa at the end of the day it just comes down to not enough traffic for me...will see how the land lies...

This is something I evaluate on an ongoing basis - although I don't run a tgp I do submit to them, and I need to make sure the time I spend doing it is effective.
It varies from sponsor to sponsor and niche to niche (eg, say, milf - I can do 1:700 on the hun and 1:8000 on worldsex with the same gallery (which goes to show quantity isn't everything!), but 1:350 on a milf tgp), then there's blogs and ppc etc.
I think the best thing in this business is not to put all your eggs in one basket. I could have said a year ago I was going to do just Google Adwords, and for a while its been quite good - but this morning they've basically put the finishing touches on their wiping out censorship process on me, so I could have had egg on my face - but having other traffic sources means its just made a small dent...
One thing's for sure, if you kill a traffic source it will definitely not make any money :) I have sites I "mothballed" a year ago that still send a nice trickle of sales :crown:
How much traffic are your TGPs getting ?

Anyone use linkdumps ?
Just wondered, I've just started to post to some, seems more effective for sites rather than galleries, but it's very early days ...

I've been meaning to ask - what are the advantages of Smart Thumbs over AG SQL?

One of the main reasons I dumped AG SQL was I found it time consuming to add galleries with the pre scan setting on smart thumbs its easy to set up lots of different galleries.
Ive been using it about 8months got about 7 copies and all the sites have grown really quickly using it. I like that I can run each domain from same admin and see stats seperate and you can use different thumbs for same gallery and use the same gallery on different domains.
Its a really great script and Ill deffinetly be buying more copies in the future.
Sounds good, thanks. Overall is it as user friendly as AG SQL?

I'll second that - I've got 1 site running commus that hasn't grown at all, the script errors all the time and needs server work, very user un-friendly and resource heavy.
I put smart thumbs on another domain, site has grown to 60k+ no problem, love the interface, its a breeze to add galleries, runs far faster than commus and has never errored once despite having 3 times the traffic...
imho it's just a better script.
I know not everyone will agree - just my 2 cents :)
