We are at the thinking stage on this so dont shoot me down yet !!
We are busy producing stuff which takes up a lot of our time and we have other stuff on the go that makes us good money and we are NOT going to give up just yet....
what we dont have is time to promote Filthyrichbitch properly.I have been looking into what needs doing and how to do it all properly and to be honest Its just too much for us to do here... FRB is making ok sales but we have a long way to go to get it where we want...
there is so much we want to do and try with it and we know we have the content right its just all the other stuff.
so is it feasable to bring someone in with these skills to take a salary or a % of what he/she brings and do these people exist and how do we know if they are good enough
sounds like a fucking HUGE question filled with many difficulties...
whats your thoughts....if any
or are we looking for something that doesnt exist

Hi
My thought is that what you could end up with problems.
You see what if you put somone on %. Say 20%. Now they bring you in 1 million per year. They get 20%.
But what if he or she desides to then not do anything, they still get 20%.
And what if they leave you. Do they still get 20%. They could go to couut and state that they own 20%.
But.
If you employ somone who is no good it would get expensive.

Its just a thought we are not stupid enough to give away 20% of our business but happy to give someone 20% if they bring in a million
if they bring in nothing then they get 20% of that too....oh and their arse kicked out the door...
happy to talk salary too
I am doing some sites for content producers (in the pipeline) and I know others who do.
These can work well if the producer just wants to produce content and the webmaster just wants to run sites.
It also gives them both some degree of security, both needing each other.
The problem you may have is to get someone decent to run the sites, they will ask themselves some questions. The first one I would ask myself is. If I spent a year or two getting the results comming in, what stops you stopping producing content or changing your mind and taking the site back? Leaving me with nothing.
Its your site, your content, your domain & your billing.

In many ways I belive its best to have somone who can bring in sales.
To me thats a skill on its own.
But its finding somone who can do it.
Its a bit like a few months ago I posted on gfy for webmasters to design me some sites. And people wanted huge cash, yet they showed me samples they did, I would not have spent $5 on.
I do hope you find somone who does it for you but does not give you grief.
Truble with things like this, people start to feel they should get more, and people get upset with each other.

which is why things can get a mess.
If I worked my ass of and got you 4 million a year, Iwould want a percentage of that, even if we split up.
Its not an easy one and will need thought and probably good advise from a solicitor.
Plus what if he (or she) does somthing illigall.

Fuck me I agree with DVTimes.
There is nothing worse then getting someone on board who wouldnt know what a sale is if it slapped them in the face.
Someone sig whore'ing wont help you, would probably do more harm than good. Especially if they are recruiting affiliates and trying to help affiliates to make sales. You dont want someone who cant make sales himself trying it, and who doesnt have contacts who can make sales.
Getting affiliates is easy, getting affiliates making sales is far more difficult.
Gotta say, thats why I like this forum, it has people who make sales and lots of them and their opinions meen something

Its a difficult one...
If we handed the site over to someone to run for us and leave us to produce content ...how much would that site bring in a year ? if it was enough we have no problem contracting it tightly to keep it running. but if that person had other sites where would his loyalties lie??
so its maybe not an option?
perhaps we need someone to give it a few days a week and pay a salary to. and if it worked keep increasing that salary to suit??
maybe there are too many variables in this ?

I work for a few producers on a very part time basis, mainly designing and building stuff for them, from sites to galleries, they know I know what Im doing, they get to run their buisines. They pay me regardless and we could part companies tommorow.
You could probably do with a little more that just site and gallery building etc. But its not far from arrangments I have. I think it could work well.
Then the next thing is getting the right person. I think that would be possible

It needs some thought ....
We dont really need designers we need someone to get new and keep affiliates happy. make sure the site is all running as it should (problems like last week a prime example) and if i say for example.. ok lets give affiliates 90% this week.. they can implement and run it properly.. and of course someone who can generate traffic in any way needed to give us all the sales we need..
the reason for all of this is we need to get back to doing what we do best and produce content...we are aware we are slipping in that dept and need to get back in front.... and we possibly start producing for someone else in Oct/Nov so we are going to need help with FRB
Where's Mattyboy when he's needed :)

You have three options as I see it
1) Get your self a partime webmaster / affiliate manager setting out clear projects goals and objectives
2) Slip your site into another programme and take a revenue share on the margins
3) Retain full management of the site and just break your ideas into small projects, list them in importance and then put them out to tender.
What you are saying regarding time is key issue with all web enterprises, as they grow they require more time and if your skills are in production then allocating time to fumbling through computer work is not as viable.
The quickest way to build revenue with a pay site has to be through retention, working to keep current members and developing ways to get back old customers is something you can control. This may mean you having to branch out to offering another site or looking at PPV on out takes or films not given to members.
Yup I gotta agree with everything that SmithsMedia just said.
You also have to find a person that can fill the position/requirements that you need, while also keeping in mind that these days that can be a tricky ask.
But in saying that I'm sure you'll be able to find someone.

You actually make a lot of sense when your not talking about football...
thanks mate will take that on board...
So you want someone to promote it well and to get new affiliates and be able to generate enough traffic to make better than average sales and you will pay them 60% of all earnings. If they do additional work like sorting out special promotions and dealing with affiliates hassle would they get paid extra for this?

You have the beginnings of a really good product there guys and to pass that over to someone else while you go and shoot content is like the owner of the Hilton handing over the reins so that he can go downstairs and run the coffee shop. It’s a bit difficult to see at the beginning sometimes but you have something there that can change your entire future financial security in a very short space of time with just a few right moves. You shoot your own content, Venice is a REAL star and you can both tinker with ideas and feedback to take the site in the direction to make the most revenue at an hours notice.
God invented the Internet so that we old-time pornographers didn’t need to bother buying lottery tickets so don’t let it get away!
Take note of SmithsMedia

Its not about earning money over the next few months. It’s about being able to afford to retire in just a few years time.
