Bono, the ever so caring singer from U2, who is one of the leading lights in the fight against world poverty.

only just bought a 40% stake in Forbes magazine...

for those that dont know, Forbes is the magazine that champions the wealthy businessman. and the super rich..



almost as bad as Prescot, that champion of the working man that he is....

Well of course. I mean its only the stupid people who think all the selebs giving up an hour on comic releafe or sports releafe or live aid or doing it to help people. Its to boost there own careas. In fact all those who were on live aid made huge sales in records.

As I say, the day they give away a huge chunk of there money to charity, is the day I take them seriously.

Agree totally, he works very hard at helping people around the world, by gaining a controlling interest in media properties he can then force them to cover issues he is more passionate about, and gaining a bigger foot hold with the elite of the world is never a bad thing.

So the subscribers of Forbes magazine are going to find themselves reading about world poverty are they ???

you need to know more about how Bono and U2 came to be among the biggest rock band in The UK and then the US .. they already had that foothold with the "Elite" when they started and were backed heavily by the IRA at the time and therefore a large population of the US... thats how they became as big as they are ...a classic sell your soul to the devil story..

i agree 100% they are just glory hunters who can afford to give a hour of their time, the people who matter and deserve recognition are the ones who actually make sacrifices for their cause. people who gain nothing for doing good deeds, even people like poppy sellers not ego-boosting musicians

That's an interesting claim. How does having links to the IRA help your musical career? I thought Bono was on an IRA hitlist after condemning the bombing at Enniskillen.
