We paid a visit to Internext last weekend (details here: http://www.internext-expo.com) not expecting much after January's, which rather resembled a morgue. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The place was pretty busy - not so much on the exhibition floor, where a lot of big names weren't (CCBill being one which springs to mind), but around the bar, where CCBill most definitely were.
General impression's of a pretty healthy industry, albeit one where a lot of faces from five years ago are no longer to be seen. And I think that I managed a whole show without being on the receiving end of JFK's camera..!
On those two bits of good news, I'll wish you all a pleasant night.

CCBill stopped taking space a while ago.. Their Phoenix show is meant to be the place to go from reports on the last show they whoregonised.
I think that this Internext was based on the Phoenix show set up :)
As for lack of faces compared to 2001 when I wentr twice... In those days AVS was mega and Adult Check, Cyber Age and others took space. That's when a lot of us from the Uk went over there but as the style of the biz changed, it wasn't important to go there any more.
Also the timing of the Jan show has been in the peak Xmas holiday traffic time for us in the EU, so flights were at a premium. If they'd put the shows back a week we would have been able to fly out for a lot less. I know that those shows cost me about £1000+ all in at the time and for just for 4 days.. That included the money spent at Cheetahs... LOL
This January's show will be the 15-17. Hope that works out for you and you can join us!
Also, being my first post here, if anyone has any questions about the shows, I'd welcome you to hit me up on ICQ - 277753354
Cheers!

Seems like Board Tracker can bring in the good guys as well as the spammers... :)
Welcome to the UK :)
Putting the show back will make it more viable for those in the EU to fly to the show :) Will the Vegas show be the same as this last one, with more participants having rooms in the hotel etc. This does make for a better atmosphere than being in those big halls at the Sands....
And.. I hope that you won't have as many shows on at the same time as last Jans show, when reports came in of civilians wandering round. Having your AVN awards show follow on Internext was also a better idea at the time but... With more and more site owners now releasing Dvds etc., maybe one combined trade only show would be the best for all :)
It's at Mandalay Bay again. There won't be a huge exhibit hall like last time around, while AEE will still be at the Sands, from Jan. 11-13. AVN Awards are on the evening of the 13th, so if you come in for them, you'll have one day to recover before Internext beings. :)

CES runs the 9-11, I believe, so there won't be any civilians by the time Internext begins.
