Seems we have been nominated for best mature site at the BAA awards this month.
Really pleased to have been nominated as its not even our first full year !!!

We were always confident in our content production after 7 hard years so for the next year we need to work a lot harder on our web marketing stuff....

Not wanting to wee on anyones fireworks. But who does it make aware? The other people who have been nominated may see it. Dont know anyone else who cares to be honest. Ive certainly in the last 8 years of webmastering never heard anyone talk about it.

Why would I want to be nominated? Out of the things I would to happen in my life thats about 1 zillienth down on the list.

Being just nominated anywhere is great pr and gets peeps whether biz or civilians seeing the name and looking at the site which could equal new sales or affiliates...

On Monday I have a meeting with the director of a mainstrean BBC Asian programme, which hopefully should get me and my sites on tv again for a couple of mins... I know that equals sales :)

Any mention in the media is great.. So go for it and start sending the judges little presents like $1000 to vote for you... LOL

I think they are planning a live link up... ..direct to xcite towers... well our lounge... with V looking as glamourous as ever and me doing my best Homer Simpson on the sofa.

Responses like what? Because Ive never heard of it and no one in the last 8 years of webmastering has ever mentioned it to me, apart from the last two posts you have made about it.

I didnt want to offend you. Sorry in future I'll do the standard top class responses you get from "webmasters" who wouldnt know what a sale was if it bit them on the arse, you get at other forums in future.
