Hi,

Nope not yet, but had a big one last week.

We are paying for a new 3mb broadband service and when testing it we found it was nowhere near what it should be. :comp:

Spent ages in the call system when trying to log a call. Then spent ages talking to something that couldn't be too far on advanced from an omeba reading off a blinking techie checklist. :onguard:

Tried to palm me off with spyware as the cause, until we said bollocks - we really need an engineer. :ugly:

Got an engineer out and he had to replace the the cable to the house from the junction box. Job done! :guinness:

This is a great site to find out if you're getting exactly what you are paying for..

Out of interest who has the fastest upstream and downstream here?

Ours is currently

Downstream 2855 Kbps (356.9 KB/sec) 3083 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 284 Kbps (35.5 KB/sec) 306 Kbps (inc. overheads)

Although this does vary during the day somewhat. Upstream normally hovers around 370-385 Kbps

Just had my grrrr moment - I've just congratulated myself on dying my hair without dying the bathroom. Didn't realise I had a big splodge of hair dye on my back and just laid back on our new cream leather sofas. Boy am I in trouble when Hubbie gets home. LOL

Oh dear, that can't be good...

My grr moment was this morning when I discovered that the dog had taken a pee up the side of the washing machine. Thank god for wipe clean surfaces.

Friggin brilliant. Thats another hour I have to watch that bloodly mpeg upload!

Count yourself lucky then. Any post offices local to me have been closed down in favour of centralized ones for the herd. I can't stand it any longer dammit!!!!

Downstream 1906 Kbps (238.3 KB/sec) 2058 Kbps (inc. overheads)
Upstream 247 Kbps (30.9 KB/sec) 266 Kbps (inc. overheads)

2mb BT ADSL.

It works ok but the upstream is a bit tedious when uploading hundreds of megs of video to the remote server.

Ynot make the file into wmv format - You can do a 1,71m compression and save 35% = in weight and no one can tell the difference in quality.

My grr moment came when I placed an order for a cascade programme that I had already been quoted on - When the contract arrived, it was close on 3000 dollars more - I did a couple of gfy searches and realized the two main competitors for the same type of programme had had the shit kicked out of them recently for holes - Talk about trying to take advantage of the situation - I told them to take a fucking running jump -

Some things that bug me are when people make tea in a cup. I mean how hard is it to put a tea bag into a pot for a few minutes.

Then people make tea in a mug. Its revolting. Tea tastes so much better in china cups.

I just hate being offered tea then being given muck. I now take a tea pot with me and china cups.

The other thing that bugs me is hippies trying to out hippy me. There is a vegetarian shop in Leeds. Boy are they snotty in there. Each time I go in, there is always some git that outdoes me. I cycled there last time, and someone in the shop looked at me in disgust and said she walks to town as bikes are not environmental enough. Arrrgh.

The other thing that bugs me is smart arse kids. You know the type the ones that go on countdown at the age of 6 and thrash all the adults. I think I am clever if I get a 4 letter word.

On Richard and Judith show there was this little brat aged 10 who said she was taking time off from ballroom dancing to concentrate on her English exams. A right little Madame she was.

That's what I get scared about if I ever have kids, is that I will get one that outsmarts me when he or she is 5.

several .. when the alarm went off this morn .. fighting the kids to get their breakfasts eaten ... the drive to work ... some things at work, you know, no brainer kind of hassles, the drive home ... getting the kids to eat their tea ... and fucking up a friends computer instead of fixing it .. not a good day really :ninja:

I tell you what bugs me. Its when your in hospital, having a nice time watching TV, when your relatives and friends turn up.

You know darn well they do not want to be there, so for an hour or two your stuck chatting to them.

When I broke my leg, I told the nurse that all my family moved to Australia so there was no point contacting them.
