Any thoughts on whether google and other big search engines take into account your top level domain when listing? If I were targetting UK traffic would a .co.uk domain get me a higher listing on google.co.uk - or does that only work if the surfer ticks the "pages in the uk" option?
Confused.

If you want to get a good listing with google.co.uk you need to have your site hosted in the uk. If you site is hosted in the US it will affect your google.co.uk listing.

Hosting adult in the UK isn't a legal issue, its a cost issue. You'll probably still get charged £1 a gig in bandwith if you use any volume

hmmm so logically most people will be hosting in the US or at least, not in the UK so effectively the playing field is still level. I guess its more of a question of whether or not .co.uk is basically considered by Brits to be the 'web' or whether .com still is king?
In my opinion .co.uk is probably just as widely known and accepted as .com BUT my opinion and a typical surfers could be and probably is totally different. Im no more certain on this issue than i was yesterday, but its food for thought.

What do they mean by "top shelf style" these days, since hardcore magazines are sold on the top shelf in newsagents? - seems a bit vague to me, shows why uk hosts are lagging behind not only on the cost issue but somewhat in ignorance of the legal nature of hardcore in the UK...

I've hosted hardcore in the UK for years. The only reason we moved out was cost.

no erect penis's, no cum shots -
In Bed With Faith without the Hardcore mobile movies they added would be fine, in fact UK banks would give that site a merchant account.

Its no different in the states. Many hosts wont host porn over there too. There are loads here who will host hardcore without a problem. The problem is with cost
