I was told by one of the old boys (1995/96) who has a good domain name for one of our genres.

Now heres a staggering figure. He told me that in 2000 he had his best ever week, which ran through Ibill and paid him at $48k for one week :o

Now that to me is an awesome amount of cash for one weeks business. I think that some of the guys that hit the good domain names that were still around in those golden years are stilll making a pretty penny just on the domain name itself drawing punters...

What was your biggest ever week??

I do o.k. from my sites but it would take me 9 months to earn $48k -
indeed, if I ever earned that much in one shot I would leave the biz and concentrate on my non-adult biz projects.

Easier to do in 2000 but still very much still do-able now with the right site and promotion.

As for our best ever week? Not saying I am afraid. :)

Going way back, when I first started, I learnt alot from an Italian guy, he helped me all the time. I knew fuck all (whether I do now is debatable) I remeber him being ripped off by an English dialer company for his payment for $60k

My first work in the adult business was with one of the 'big boys' as their server admin guy. I can tell ya, these guys monitored their signups on a per-minute basis and they used to pull in way more than $48K/week.

There was good money and there still is good money, its just not as easy.

In those days it was far easier to make money - Fewer tgps were sending much heavier traffic - Avs sent tonnes - News groups and clubs also sent heavy traffic - Spamming search engines was easier and the few of us that did it profited well -

Hi, virgin poster here ;)

I think I come from a different side of the equation to most here, in that my site makes it's money from revshare and selling banner space. I think my best week probably brought in about £700, which isn't a lot in the great scheme of things, but the weekly average is always climbing and I'm happy that I can now work on my site full-time.
