Why do people still print the www next to there web address.

I do not think I have typed www before a domain name for years.

I mean unless you have an old broser I do not think you now ever need to type the www.

And if you do need to type www, surly you do not need to be told to type www.

Sorry its just been winding me up latley.

Some sites are still set up so that you do require the www at the beginning.

Its not to do with the browser - its to do with the way the site is configured within apache or IIS etc. Some sites will work as abc.com or www.abc.com but there are still quite a few where you MUST use the www or it wont work.

I usually just put the sitename without www. or .com and press Ctrl+Enter and the browser puts it in automatically. That works with IE anyway.
