Hi,

I'm a male porn performer, done more than 70 shoots, and I think the future lies in decent paysites - good lots of video etc. (Full screen, decent quality, 20mins sets).

A few girls are begining to understand the benefits of shared content shoots, so getting content should be OK.

What I need is to build a relationship with a decent webmaster - must be able to design decent front pages etc, do the very techie set up and sort the money.

I have been playing with a CMS and think that I could do all the day to day stuff - turn the stills in web suitable pics, edit and prepare video etc once the core had been built.

I don't really want to write a cheque, but would like to discuss a partnership type thing. Ideally will build a portfolio of sites - one for each of the girls, plus mine.

Hi Paul and this has been the case for the past couple of years.

May I sugest you post a pic of yourself.

It may be an idea to set up a yahoo group to show some of your pics.

Hi Paul

Be very careful who you pick if you want to go down the partnership route, there are a lot of rogue "designers" out there! Suggest if you do go into partnership that you both sign and agreement witnessed by a solicitor - this will mean less aggrivation if something does go wrong.

Other than that you might want to consider basing a site on a CSM like www.sitedepth.com - this proggy allows you run run multiple sites from one admin area.

Whichever way you go you will incur costs, software, hosting etc!

Why ? If hes going into it on a profit shared basis then why would he incure any costs ?

He hasn't said it's a profit share - he said "partnership". If you go 50/50 on a project then you would normally split the costs and the profits.

You can't run any site without paying for something - whether its buying services or paying for time in some way.

ok i beg your parden, he did indeed say partnership, and not profit share.
however he also said "I don't really want to write a cheque..."
Well, I would take that to mean that hes not looking to have any finacial outlay.
(Allthough, If one were to be pedantic, it could be said thats hes willing top pay in pounds sterling as he dosnt have a bank account, but i doubt thats the case...)
And nowhere in his post does he say he expects it for free, so by default, if its not on a profitshare basis, what other way could it be ?
Respect, Peace,
Over and outr :)

np, words can be interpreted in many ways :)

You're right in saying paul wasn't wanting to write a cheque!

Making a network of sites does take some time and it's a big gamble for any webmaster to plough his/her own money and time into the project if there is no guarantee of any income from it

Paul - it's up to you to negotiate your own deal but no web site is guaranteed to make any real money. If I were to go into such an agreement I would normally insist that the client paid for software and hosting, but would invest my time into the project for an agree fixed fee or monthly % of takings.
