I don't remember previous world cups being quite like this. It's like all the teams you'd expect to play well have come down with some terrible disease in the past few years (Argentina excepted).
France, Korea, Brazil and others are performing badly. Then we have some good performances from the likes of Spain, Ghana and Trinidad(!)
England manage to find a path somewhere between the two - at least one team's reliable.
