Does anyone know where I could rent a luxury car from - lambo, ferrari type cars daily for shoots? Preferably in scotland?

Also needs to allow people under 25 to drive them.

You will struggle Elisha I think. Insurance would be a problem.

Phone around but it would be mighty expensive for a 23 year old. A lot of people in their 40s and 50s still have personal underwritten insurance on anything like a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin or whatever.

At last a question i can answer

We had a sports car hire company until 1999 with two Ferraris, Porsche, Lotus Elise, SLK's etc etc

there are a few in Scotland but ALL require driver to be at least 25+ some even older

You could try a company called Caledonian Classics but last time i knew they only had older stuff like E-types etc

A good one further south is dream car hire ..

One point when dealing with these companys... There is a few that go around changing name every few years..mainly in Nth London... without naming names for obvious reasons... they are big criminal organisations who launder money buying these cars then use them to fleece people's credit cards..

We had a good relationship with them as we were outside London... but we knew what they did...dont hire from any central London based company... they run most of them..

Best way if its for a shoot is get some punter with a flash car to bring one along to a shoot

try posting on punter type boards

I think the scotland part will be a problem, most sports car owners like to have the wheels still on a car when its returned

That’s what we used to do. Even talked a funeral director to lend us a hearse on the way back from a funeral in Sunderland back in the late 80s. :)

Its not going to be cheap. I have seen Ferrari at £1000 per day. Plus I think you must be 25 or older.

If I was you, buy a classic sports car. You can pick one up for around £1000, simply as they are so expensive to run.

A chap near me just sold an old sports car in mint condition for £400. And it had not done much milage.

Red letter day (they went bust) used to do a voucher for a Ferrari, I think they were taken over so they may still be doing this.

If you was cheeky you could see if you could take a Ferrari out for a test drive.

What about a TVR? I think that there are several TVR message boards and at least one owner club. You could always try there? Just need to keep it off your drive as it will leak oil and never park it far from a bus stop. :)

We got talking to a guy with an amazing hummer last year, we asked if we could borrow it to shoot Faith in, but he wanted to sleep with her in return and she wasn't up for it - how selfish is that!

there are a couple of asian lads in blackburn who have a ferrarri (black, not sure what model, looks very new but its 52 plate), and a lambo - bright yellow. They cruise around preston a lot, ill try and find out more for you. I suspect they rent, and they dont look 25 to be honest. It depends how shady your prepeared to go :)

Perhaps you can have somebody drive your boyfriend in a Ferrari? Sure its not the same as driving it himself, but he still won't stop smiling for a week afterwards! The sublime acceleration, the superglue like grip, instantly responsive brakes.... *zzZZZzz*

As for shooting in a car.... this one is top of my list! Maybach.

I remember having dealings with some Asian guys in Lancashire when we had our Sports car hire company...what a fucking nightmare situation we got into

They owed us money and we had to go up there and wait while they "did their deliveries" to get paid..... having 20 workmen from a nearby road crew that was run by Venice's dad helped. smooth things along nicely..

when we sold the business they still had 20 cars owned by a finance company which we thought hilarious.. i think they are still looking for them
