As the title suggests, we get these all the time webmastering - So, what is your highest moment so far - Your first sale or referral? Your first check. First 1000 dollar day/week?
I remember many of my best moments - But I think my best was back in 97 when I was doing very good biz via the main search engines then - Hot Bot, MSN and Alta Vista - I had a drop page for all se traffic and this was a big earner for me - The pop page from that did even better - I added keywords to it in the same format I was using for other search terms - For yahoo - And struck gold for a few days!
Between Teen Steam and CyberErotica and another I can't remember - I had links to on the drop page. I made in three days what many of you make in a year!
My worst time was (I think everybody knows this), So no more to add!
Let's here your highs and lows!
My high was the first time I made 1k in a day in affiliate sales, I thought that was a good break through.
The second high was when I made a 5k deal with playboy TV, in one day I made well over 2.5k and thought, this is a great business, it repeated a few times in the months to come. It was a good contact with a good paying customer, but then the bloke left.
I guess my low day was when Globill went bust. That was a shit day indeed!
Edit. Another low was when acacia sent me there claim, I was as far as Im aware with the first batch of UK webmasters. Wankers

My high has to be when Adult Check launched gold $1500-$2000 a day, just used to sit there refreshing the stats... has to be my high not sure about my low.

I lost out with globill - About 600 recurring members + one month's worth of takings. (fortunately, globill was only a back-up to ccbill so I didn't lose everything)
Also lost everything when Sypro went - Everything when dmr went - everything when tgold went and a small amount when lancelot went -

Never spent a lot of work on avs - At most I had around 100 sites - Too lazy, really!

That is some variation - Over any given week my takings are never more that a few hundred apart.

I can remember the name and password of our first sign up - The first sign up is the best lift you can get - Really encourages you to go on and tells you your hard work was all worth the while

...Feels like it sometimes -
In the early days, there was more choice for ccp and to have 2/3 backups was quite normal - Most of us would run a programme using (say) Sypro and another members area (not on the programme) which (say) drm prosessed for - The idea was to get all cancelled members to sign for the second members area - So it paid well, but when some big names went under (drm/sypro/globill) it took a lot of my cash with it.
High: September 2003 was a milestone for us.
Low: Hosting with Techiemedia in the same year but that was quickly forgotten about when we moved everything away.

What happened in September 2003 to make it a milestone?

So far youre the only person whos "high" wasnt somehow financial, but rather the fact you met someone whos name you cant even remember.. odd.

I got a couple of bits from them, then a really threatening registered letter, it was about the time I was buying a new house. So I moved :drink:

It was a financial goal that we wanted to break.
