Tim trying to talk a few of the guys here into going, I think its a worth while event based on cost and the fact its 100% adult focused :-)
we should gang up on people and see if we can get a bunch from the UK over there :cheers2:
Mind you if not be you & I having dinner with a little candle light, again! ;-)
Can someone tell me what the point of these things?
I have nothing to sell and I don't wanna buy anything so is it just a tax write off type of thing for the bigger company's, I just don't see the point :gezer:

Theres a massive point to events for people like me, for example as a result of AOE I have got a number of contracts from companies to provide services, resell services & also contracted work.
Theres no doubt I have made my money back and some and an estimate of business I have generated from trade shows is easily over 50K GBP.
Im not into TGP'ing but those of you who are get a chance to have eye ball contact with the chaps behind some of nets busiest adult sites such as the Hun, World Sex etc.
We all work in an insular enviroment, we chat mail and exchange views on forums - sometimes meeting people face to face can have a profound effect on your business going forward.
Geezer we have run ins on the forums, as I do with Joe A, HF etc yet in fairness when I have met with Joe A HF its different we share a lot of biz ideas and discuss how we all deal with the daily issues faced with being a webmaster.
In summary the shows offer you a chance to further progress relationships :)

I have been submitting galleries since about 1924, but I ain't interested in meeting the owners, it's not like I have been conversing with them and think it would nice to put a face to a name.
I am a very good judge of character and I take anything said on forums with a pinch of salt. If I ever get to meet people then I will form a proper opinion of them. There is a proper wankpot who uses Headboy as one of his nicks, I always have pops at him, well I did until I was "banned". People would ask me why I don't like him and the was simple "because I have met him".
I was going to go to Berlin this year just to give you a slap, luckily I never wasted my money cos you never went :boxing:

Shows are just fun, and it's really good to be able to put names to faces. It definately strengthens business relationships when you've met someone face to face & got hammered with them. On the other hand, it's important to get out of the habit of saying "lol" in conversation.
