I am a USB port short so I thought if I could plug one into my laptop that had two other USD ports I would then basically have three or would that not work?

Get a USB hub. Think you can get 'mini' ones for laptops.

I have several of these. Belkin do a 1 into 7 which is very useful (powered).

Now all I need is a 1 into 4 adapter for my dick... :)

Yes, you casn add lots of USB's.

If your pc has the old type (usb 1) it may be worth getting the new USB 2 type as its faster if you have USB devises, plus old USB 1 things will work with it.

But the USB hubs are cheap.

Yeah, you can daisy chain them and in theory have over 100 devices all going at once... But I think windows might crash if you did that... :)

got 12 here all on my motherboard and windows can accept it but might slow it down if they were all active at the same time ie printing whilst using a usb mouse whilst using controller to play a game but windows boasts or xp does that it can handle 200 USB devices at once not that i can imagine there are any uses for having that amount of crap all plugged in at the same time
